Delicious Western Food Melaka That Is Loved By Locals

1. Margaret T

signature grill

Embark on a carnivorous journey at Margaret T, nestled in the heart of Melaka! My recent visit to this steakhouse was more than a mere dining experience; it unfolded as an extraordinary culinary adventure. The tastefully decorated and thoughtfully lit interior, exuding sophistication and coziness, sets the perfect stage for an unforgettable meal.

The showstopper, without a doubt, was the Australian Angus Sirloin. Its succulence and robust flavor were a testament to the chef’s unwavering commitment to top-quality beef. However, the culinary wonders at Margaret T extend beyond this. Iconic dishes like the Herbs Roasted Lamb Rack, a symphony of herbs and rich lamb goodness, and the Supreme Seafood Aglio Olio, featuring al dente spaghetti and a bounty of supreme seafood, grace the menu. Not to be overlooked is the carnivore’s haven, the Signature Grill, offering a tantalizing assortment of grilled delights.

Amidst these culinary indulgences, the vibrant atmosphere of Melaka envelops you through expansive windows, creating a delightful contrast between premium steak and the daily rhythm of life. The meticulous attention to detail doesn’t stop at the cuisine; it extends to the beverage menu, which includes lattes, sodas, slow-pressed juice, and more.

Margaret T Melaka transcends the typical steakhouse experience; it stands as a carnivore’s paradise, a celebration of the art of grilling executed with finesse. Kudos to the chefs and staff for crafting a haven for carnivores!

2. HiddenVia x Sanji

HiddenVia x Sanji is a unique dining spot, with its entrance cleverly hidden behind a normal door that leads to a hallway, and then another door disguised as a bookshelf, marked with a “Push” sign. The western food Melaka restaurant spans two floors and has a slightly chilly interior. The western food Melaka typically takes around 30 minutes to be served, but one aspect to note is that the side vegetables may not be heated enough.

lamb steak from HiddenVia x Sanji melaka

Overall, the dining experience and the food itself were decent, rating it 7 out of 10 in terms of budget-friendliness. The prices listed on the menu are before tax, so it’s worth giving it a try. The ambience of the restaurant is fantastic, and the western food Melaka is delicious. We tried the spicy tomato spaghetti, smoked whole leg, and tiramisu cake, and everything was amazing. The Gula Melaka chocolate had a perfect balance of bitterness and fragrance, making it truly worth its price.

burger stack from HiddenVia x Sanji

True to its name, HiddenVia x Sanji offers a hidden dining western food Melaka spot with a relaxing ambience. Personally, I would recommend their Western fare and desserts over the local dishes (I found the Nasi Briyani to be average). The prices can be on the higher side.

This place is the ultimate destination for eating, chilling, and gathering. The food is superb, and the prices are reasonable. The service is exceptional, and they even provide a kids’ area and baby chairs, making it a great place for families. The environment and concept of the restaurant are refreshingly different from typical establishments. It truly stands out as the best place to indulge in a variety of delicious halal western food Melaka. Kudos to the owner and the cooks for a job well done! Highly recommended!

3. Kensington Western Fusion Restaurant

Kensington Western Fusion Restaurant for western food in melaka

Kensington Western Fusion Restaurant offers a cozy and pleasant dining experience without loud music, making it a perfect place for engaging conversations over a good meal.

During our visit, we opted for a simple meal consisting of a seafood chowder, Lamb Rack, and a Grilled Ribeye. The seafood chowder impressed us with its generous portions of fish and squid, accompanied by croutons. The chowder had a nice and thick consistency, packed with flavorful goodness.

The Grilled Lamb Rack was perfectly cooked, juicy, and not overdone. It was served with button mushrooms, the vegetable of the day, potato wedges, carrots, and white corn. As for the Grilled Ribeye, it was cooked to a medium doneness and nicely seasoned. The only slight drawback was that it was slightly thinner than expected and lacked the internal fat. However, the overall flavor was satisfying, albeit the sauce being a bit on the salty side.

The service at Kensington Western Fusion Restaurant was attentive and courteous. The staff were willing to assist and displayed politeness throughout our visit. The mushroom soup tasted and smelled authentic, albeit being slightly watery. However, the strong taste and the abundance of mushroom bits more than made up for it.

lobster pasta of Kensington Western Fusion Restaurant

The restaurant is beautifully decorated in a Western fusion style and tends to be quite busy, especially on Sunday evenings. Therefore, it is advisable to make a reservation during peak hours to secure a table.

While Kensington Western Fusion Restaurant may not be a well-known franchise, it certainly offers an intimate and cozy dining atmosphere. The prices of the western food Melaka are below premium, and the steaks are well prepared with satisfying portion sizes. It’s worth noting that the amount of sauce provided with the steaks may be overpowering for some, but the friendly waitstaff are accommodating and can adjust the sauce upon request.

4. Odeon Western Food

steak mix from Odeon Western Food melaka

Odeon Western Food is a popular breakfast spot conveniently located in the town center. Renowned for its Western Cuisine, the restaurant offers both vegetarian and non-vegetarian breakfast sets. If you prefer heartier options, they also serve noodles and rice dishes. Ample paid street parking is available in front, and they offer an e-wallet facility for cashless payments. Takeaway service is also available for added convenience.

Odeon Western Food beef and broccoli

What I love about this kopitiam is its simplicity. Their teh tarik, made with two packets of Boh tea, is a delightful treat. The intensity of the tea flavor is truly satisfying. Additionally, their mee goreng is absolutely delicious, bursting with flavor. Although at times it can be slightly wet, it remains a delightful dish.

Odeon Western Food Melaka is best known for its breakfast and lunch offerings. With a range of Western and Asian cuisine available, the service is fast and efficient. The food and drinks are of good quality, and the prices are reasonable. One of my personal favorites is the mee goreng, which not only comes in a generous portion but also leaves you with a contented stomach. The restaurant is clean and adheres to SOP guidelines, ensuring a pleasant dining experience. Kudos to them!

egg toast from Odeon Western Food melaka

Situated in Melaka Raya, Melaka, Odeon Western Food offers an extensive menu that includes kaya toast, half-boiled eggs, omelettes, chicken chop, burgers, noodles, and more. They also provide a wide selection of hot and cold beverages, such as coffee and tea. The restaurant offers both indoor seating, with options for air-conditioned and non-air-conditioned areas, as well as outdoor seating. The service is friendly and efficient, with food arriving quickly. Interestingly, the tea is served with two teabags, adding a unique touch. However, I was slightly disappointed to discover that the local coffee was made with a coffee bag instead of being freshly brewed. Nevertheless, the prices are reasonable, especially considering the enjoyable breakfast experience they provide.

5. Wok & Pan

Wok & Pan is an old-school western food Melaka restaurant that exudes sentimental flavors and a nostalgic atmosphere. The place is reminiscent of classic dining experiences, with tablecloths, sizzling hot plates, families enjoying meals together, and special occasions being celebrated.

Their menu offers a wide variety of main dishes, ranging from beef, chicken, fish, to pork. They also feature burgers and a selection of East Asian delights, although it seems that most diners tend to lean towards the Western options, leaving the Nyonya cuisine as more of a menu filler.

seafood spaghetti from Wok & Pan western food melaka

Now, let’s delve into the western food Melaka itself. The sizzling Yokohama steak arrives piping hot on a sizzling plate, with the waiter pouring a thick, luscious, and fragrant gravy over the steak right at your table. The presentation is quite impressive! The steak itself is cooked to perfection, boasting a melt-in-your-mouth texture, juiciness, and a full burst of flavor. It is accompanied by a side of mashed potatoes, which are decadently creamy and rich.

Another standout dish is the lamb chops, which are expertly cooked with minimal gaminess. The chef truly knows how to bring out the best in these chops!

The pork ribs are yet another delightful option. Tenderly cooked, the meat easily falls off the bone with each bite. The ribs are heavily caramelized, offering a sweet and satisfying BBQ flavor reminiscent of hearty, southern cooking.

The soup meets expectations, while the garlic bread is nothing extraordinary.

Some notable pros include the attentive and swift service, the old-timey and nostalgic ambiance, and the restaurant’s popularity among locals seeking a satisfying Western meal. Free Wi-Fi and quick serving times are additional perks.

mushroom soup from Wok & Pan

While Wok & Pan may not have left a mind-blowing impression, it undeniably serves quality Western cuisine executed with skill and precision. Kudos to the chefs for their commendable culinary expertise! It’s safe to say that this is one of the best restaurants in Melaka town for Western food, offering flavorful dishes with reasonable portion sizes. The service is also notably fast. Keep in mind that the restaurant isn’t very large, so it’s advisable to make reservations, especially during weekends.

This quaint café and restaurant primarily serves Western cuisine with a touch of Nyonya influence. It is a family-run establishment. I had the pleasure of trying their signature BBQ smoked honey pork ribs, and they were truly delicious! The BBQ gravy and sauce were delightful, and the pork ribs were cooked to perfection, boasting a tender and succulent texture. The prices are very reasonable as well.

6. Me'nate Steak Hub @Melaka Raya

Me'nate Steak Hub facade

Me’nate Steak Hub is well-known as a steakhouse, but their surprising standout is the quality of their pastas. The carbonara with beef slices stands out as the best option, while the pesto could benefit from a bit more seasoning. As far as I know, Me’nate serves one of the best steaks in Melaka. I had the pleasure of trying their Japanese A5 Wagyu last year, and it was a memorable experience. The meat was incredibly tender, melting in my mouth, and cooked to perfection. The western food Melaka presentation was also impressive. However, it’s worth noting that the price is steep, with the A5 Wagyu costing around RM500++ per piece. Since the A5 Wagyu is not always available, it’s advisable to call ahead and check for availability or make a reservation.

steak and fried onions from Me'nate Steak Hub

In addition to the A5 Wagyu, I recently tried their cheese-baked lobster (Thermidor). The freshness of the lobster was guaranteed as it was live until we placed our order. The lobster was well cooked and generously topped with cheese. I learned from the staff that all their lobsters weigh between 800g to 1kg, and they are priced at a flat rate of RM450 per lobster.

salmon fish and chips from Me'nate Steak Hub melaka western foods

My visits to Me’nate have been primarily for their higher-end dishes, resulting in steep bills. However, it’s worth noting that the western food Melaka restaurant also offers dishes at more moderate price ranges, with the price varying based on the type and grade of the meat chosen. I also tried two types of desserts, but they were average at best.

asparagus and steak at menate steak hub

The steakhouse has an open-air concept, with no air conditioning, relying on fans for ventilation. Unfortunately, the ambiance is not cozy and fails to provide a comfortable dining experience considering the high prices charged. I have noticed that the tables are often not in the cleanest condition when we are seated. The service of the staff could be improved, particularly in terms of attentiveness and the way they respond to customer questions. On a positive note, the wagyu steaks I had were cooked to perfection, and I will definitely be returning to Me’nate for their exceptional A5 Wagyu from Kagoshima. My thanks go to the chef and staff who attended to us during our visit.

7. The Curly Tail

The Curly Tail western food melaka

The Curly Tail is truly one of the best meals I’ve had in Malacca. Tucked away in Jonker Street, this hidden gem captivated me with its exceptional dishes. The pasta, in particular, stood out with its fresh handmade texture that was delightfully chewy and springy. I couldn’t help but wonder about the brand of pasta they used, as it was unlike anything I had tasted before. The service staff could have been more smiley, though. Nonetheless, the restaurant impresses with its use of high-quality ingredients and beautifully plated dishes.

duck salad from The Curly Tail

During my visit, I couldn’t resist ordering their signature Iberico pork jowl and collar. The tenderness of the meat was remarkable and truly satisfying. I also had the pleasure of trying their delectable mushroom soup and Aglio Olio, which didn’t disappoint. I’m already looking forward to my next visit to explore their lamb, beef, and seafood options.

chicken fillet from The Curly Tail

It’s important to note that The Curly Tail is a restaurant that prides itself on serving quality western food Melaka. To secure a table, it’s advisable to make a reservation beforehand. While it offers a high-class dining experience with a pleasant ambience, I must mention that the portion sizes are not substantial. The pork ribs, in particular, were mostly bones, and the Iberico pork portion was disappointingly small. It seems that they have revamped their menu to cater to a higher-class clientele, which unfortunately means that my favorite pulled pork burger is no longer available. Despite this change, I can confidently say that the overall experience was excellent.

For pork lovers, The Curly Tail is a must-visit, as most of their menu is dedicated to pork dishes. I had the pleasure of trying their smoked duck, which was wonderfully flavorful. This restaurant truly is a hidden gem, offering a delightful ambience and exceptional food. I was particularly impressed by the Iberico pork collar, which had a satisfyingly firm bite and an amazing taste. The fresh orange duck salad also deserves a special mention, as the acidity of the salad complemented the richness of the duck perfectly. I highly recommend this place and will definitely be returning in the future.

The Brew House is a wonderful restaurant located in Melaka. It operates during lunchtime and is particularly popular for dinner service. Whether you’re craving Western or Asian cuisine, this place offers a wide variety of dishes to satisfy your appetite. The portions are generous and leave you feeling fully satisfied after a meal. Many patrons also visit for the impressive selection of drinks available. The service is fast and courteous, and the western food Melaka  arrives relatively quickly and tastes good.

It’s important to note that this restaurant serves pork, which may be a limiting factor for certain ethnic groups. However, they offer multiple payment options, including cash, card, and QR code.

Parking near the outlet can be a bit challenging, but if you don’t mind a short walk of about 100 meters, there are several parking lots available. Currently, they have a special offer where the price of beer is reduced until 8pm, making it even more enticing for beer lovers. Don’t forget to try their delicious Mango Lassi!

For vegetarians, the options are limited, with only one choice each for pizza, pasta, and salad. However, the restaurant is accommodating and can customize a vegetarian fried rice upon request.

Parking during lunchtime follows the City Council’s parking regulations and can be conveniently paid through a mobile app. The signature Pork Chop is a standout dish, complemented by delectable mashed potatoes. The Petai Fried Rice is perfectly cooked, with the added touch of wok hei. Although some may find the pork ribs a bit dry, the overall service is excellent, and the food is served hot and fresh.

The Brew House is an excellent choice for those seeking a place to enjoy both Western and Asian cuisine while sipping on their favorite beverages. The Potato Salad is particularly noteworthy, offering a unique and delightful twist. Overall, it’s a great restaurant, and their weekend specials are always worth exploring.

9. Uncle Don's

I highly recommend Uncle Don’s, a fantastic western restaurant. Their pizza and chicken steak are particularly delicious, and the beautiful ambiance adds to the overall dining experience. The service is impressively fast, ensuring you won’t have to wait long for your meal. I tried the beef burger set, and while it was nice, the meat was a bit tough and lacked juiciness. Nonetheless, Uncle Don’s is a great place to hang out with friends or family, thanks to its wide variety of western food Melaka  options. Please note that it is a non-halal establishment.

Vegetarian diners will find some options available to suit their preferences. The restaurant is also kid-friendly, creating a safe and welcoming environment for families.

When it comes to parking, public parking is available in the nearby business district. You can pay for parking using coupons or through various parking apps.

I absolutely love this place. I once requested a molten lava cake to surprise my father on his birthday, and the manager and staff went above and beyond to make the evening special for him. The ambience is delightful, and the service is outstanding. I express my gratitude and offer kudos to the team.

Just looking at the menu options made my mouth water. While the food portions may be on the smaller side, Uncle Don’s is a great spot to enjoy good music, beer, soju, draughts, and engaging conversations. The staff are friendly, and parking is easy and convenient. Despite the crowd, our orders arrived within 15 minutes. The food is superb, and I particularly enjoyed their spaghetti carbonara and burgers.

One thing to note is that the area seems to have no mobile internet reception. However, if you ask for the wifi password, it encourages people to engage in conversation and enjoy each other’s company.

No matter where you’re from, The Beer Factory is a place that you must visit. The atmosphere is relaxed and inviting, and they serve unforgettable western food Melaka with delicious flavors. Of course, they also offer a wide range of beers to choose from. The staff provide excellent service, especially if you show some patience.

The environment of the pub is great, and the western food Melaka is delicious, particularly the unique coconut cocktail that is exclusive to Malacca, and the spicy chicken wings. The service is also commendable, and we definitely plan to visit again in the future.

11. Hard Rock Cafe

Hard Rock Cafe view across the river in melaka

Hard Rock Cafe is known for its great western food Melaka , and the Melaka location is consistent with other Hard Rock establishments. The kitchen is halal, ensuring that Muslim diners can enjoy the delicious menu options. However, please note that the entire establishment is not halal due to the presence of alcohol. The staff are friendly and helpful, although there were some instances where they seemed a bit short-handed during our visit, which affected the overall experience.

When it comes to kid-friendliness, Hard Rock Cafe is suitable for families. Even when the band started playing, the volume was at a comfortable level, allowing everyone to enjoy the music without being overwhelmed.

Parking is convenient with a great underground parking facility. Please note that it is restricted to those dining at the venue, and there is a friendly attendant to assist you.

If you’re looking for quality time with your family, Hard Rock Cafe is a great choice. The ambiance is cozy and family-friendly, and the food is excellent. It’s a perfect spot to escape the heat and enjoy some refreshments in a lively atmosphere. The cafe opens promptly at 12 pm, although the staff could be more proactive in assisting those waiting outside. For early birds, there’s a helpful tip to enter through the Rock Store and access the waiting couch for the cafe.

During our visit, we had a delightful experience indulging in cold beers and the onion ring tower. It provided a much-needed respite from the hot afternoon sun. The location also offers a prime spot for people-watching while you relax in the shade.

Rest and relaxation are guaranteed at Hard Rock Cafe Melaka. It’s a cool place to enjoy delicious western food Melaka, refreshing drinks, and rock to the live band. The portions of the food are generous, and smaller eaters may consider sharing. The Nasi Goreng and satay were particularly enjoyable, and we also tried the char kway teow and steak, which were good as well. Overall, it was a nice experience.

12. Amigo Steak & Grill

fish and chips from Amigo Steak & Grill

Amigo Steak & Grill offers a basic yet lively ambience, and it remains popular and crowded, just like in the old days. The menu has been updated with a QR code system, allowing you to place your order using your phone, which is a clever approach. The western food Melaka  is served quickly, and I still enjoy the XL-sized drinks they offer. Considering the price point, the food tastes decent. However, it’s important to note that you shouldn’t expect fine dining quality when it comes to their Western food. Nevertheless, it’s a good option for affordable and budget-friendly Western cuisine. Overall, I had a satisfying experience during my outing here.

The fried chicken chop is a standout dish, moist and flavorful, although it doesn’t come with gravy or sauce. There is ample parking available, making it convenient to visit. I must say, the XL mug juice is the highlight of the dining experience!

beef steak from Amigo Steak & Grill

When it comes to Western food in town, Amigo Steak & Grill is the go-to place. The food has consistently been delicious for years, and it never disappoints. I highly recommend it. They also serve a range of Japanese dishes, including pasta, salads, and small treats, which are all delicious. Don’t forget to try their fruit juices, as they are also highly recommended. The restaurant is spacious, and there is plenty of street parking available, adding to the convenience. While I loved the fried chicken chop, I found the Japanese curry to be a bit lacking personally. The black pepper sauce is spicy, adding an extra kick to your meal. The service is average, but it doesn’t take away from the overall dining experience.

For vegetarian options, I would recommend trying their mushroom dishes and the soup, as they are delicious and healthy, with less oil. They also have a variety of sushi and other food options to cater to different preferences.

13. Leezo Container Melaka

Leezo Container Melaka for western food

After passing by numerous times, I finally decided to make a stop at Leezo Container in Melaka. Now, it’s time for a review. The portion sizes of the meals are quite generous. In fact, I think a single dish can easily be shared between two people for a regular meal.

pasta of Leezo Container Melaka

I opted for the Laksamana set, which is meant for 2-3 people, but I believe it could easily feed 4-5 individuals if they are not big eaters.

Leezo Container Melaka chicken chop

Regarding the Laksamana set, I enjoyed the spaghetti, although I wished there was more garlic in it. The lamb and chicken grill were cooked to perfection, and the fries were served with mayonnaise. However, the meatballs were disappointingly hard, indicating that they might have been fried multiple times.

Leezo Container Melaka chicken chop

Overall, Leezo Container is a great place to hang out. The establishment is clean and offers a diverse menu. The atmosphere at Leezo is pleasant, with attractive decor that is perfect for taking pictures. The lighting creates a warm and cozy ambiance. The noise level is also moderate, allowing for easy conversation and a great time. Personally, I thoroughly enjoyed the grilled chicken, and the apple juice was delicious and worth the price. While my friend mentioned that she has had better-tasting spaghetti carbonara elsewhere, she still found it satisfactory.

black burger from Leezo Container Melaka

The fish and chips were awesome, although there could have been more mayo. The cheesy carbonara spaghetti was good, but the abundance of cheese was slightly overwhelming. Despite occasional crowding, the orders were served promptly. The western food Melaka was satisfying, and the portions were quite substantial, making it a worthwhile expenditure.

One downside is the limited parking space, but the staff are helpful and can guide you to available parking spots.

14. The Baboon House

ambiance in the The Baboon House

I used Google Maps to locate The Baboon House and although the signage wasn’t very obvious, we managed to find it in the end.

The moment I stepped into the premises, I couldn’t help but imagine Zayn Malik singing “A Whole New World” because it truly felt like entering a magical place. The interior was breathtaking, with an abundance of lush greenery. Hanging plants and planters adorned the space, creating a refreshing atmosphere. However, due to the crowd, we had to find seating a little further inside.

The walls were adorned with rustic ornaments, and there were even books available for those interested in some reading. The overall ambiance was incredibly relaxed and soothing.

I thoroughly enjoyed capturing videos in this captivating environment as there were numerous captivating details that caught my attention.

We decided to order their burgers, and they were absolutely delicious! From the very first bite, I couldn’t resist indulging in more. It’s no surprise that this place is renowned for its burgers. They were filling and definitely worth the price.

After finishing our meal, I made a visit to the restroom at the back. Along the way, I noticed even more greenery, almost like they were cultivating a garden within the premises. The entire place exuded a lovely charm, and I can certainly envision myself returning to this enchanting establishment.

The Baboon House offers a unique and cozy environment, with One Heritage café featuring an open-air setup infused with the beauty of plants. I highly recommend MEAT UP FRESH PORK for anyone seeking delicious pork-based meals in town. Their fresh ground mushroom soup, served alongside perfectly baked garlic bread, is a must-try. Believe me when I say the bread is amazing!

Located in Kota Laksamana, Malacca, this simple café specializes in pork dishes. Personally, I enjoyed their French pork chop, which is served with their homemade lemon sauce. Additionally, their White Coffee is exceptionally good and should not be missed.

During our visit, we ordered the French pork chop, BBQ belly, and the star of the show, the pork knuckle. The sides of mushroom soup, bacon-wrapped balls, and luncheon fries were equally delicious. Unfortunately, we didn’t have the opportunity to try their homemade salted egg buns.

MEAT UP FRESH PORK also excels in other pork dishes such as char siew, sausages, pork cheek, and pork chop. Their Thai fusion spicy aglio olio with pork belly is a delectable choice, and the chewy pork rind adds a delightful texture.

One of their highlights is the thick-cut French pork chop, which is perfectly cooked and complemented by a tangy lemon sauce.

The western food Melaka we ordered was amazing. The carbonara stood out as my favorite dish, and the mushroom soup was also noteworthy, served in a generous portion. I would definitely return to MEAT UP FRESH PORK for another satisfying dining experience.

We thoroughly enjoyed the bread and vinaigrette jam/sauce combination. The mushroom soup was tasty, and the pork ribs were flavorful without being overly salty. The portion sizes were good, and it’s worth noting that the sauce for the ribs has a spicy kick, so it’s worth mentioning if ordering for kids. The restaurant has a friendly and inviting atmosphere, and the chef takes the time to interact with all the customers. The pork ribs were especially outstanding and the pizza was also delicious. Highly recommended.

The owner and wait staff provided friendly and warm service. Although the prices may seem high at first, the quality of ingredients used justifies the cost. We enjoyed the mushroom soup, mushroom risotto, and Hawaiian pizza, which were all expertly prepared. The bill came to around RM100 (excluding drinks). As a delightful bonus, they served complimentary house-made coconut ice cream at the end of the meal, which was delicious. The menu displays nett prices, which is a rarity in the F&B industry. Convenient parking is available in the area at night. I will definitely return when I visit Melaka again.

The Angus beef at Casa Cucina Modern Italian Restaurant is superb. Their pasta, salad, pumpkin soup, and desserts are also tasty. Overall, we were very satisfied with our dining experience. If you’re on the hunt for a delicious steak in Melaka, look no further than LeQUE Steak and Smoked House. They serve mouth-watering steaks with beautifully plated dishes and tasty mashed potatoes. The steak was cooked to perfection, precisely medium-well as I had requested. The mushroom soup was also a delightful treat.

I was particularly impressed with the ambiance of the western food Melaka restaurant. A tip for those planning to visit on the weekend: it’s best to contact them and make a reservation as the number of tables is limited. Parking can be a bit challenging, but we were fortunate to find a spot in front of a nearby flat. Despite these minor inconveniences, I would undoubtedly visit again when craving a steak.

I was pleasantly surprised to discover a Halal steak house of such high quality in Malacca. LeQUE Steak and Smoked House offers a selection of legitimate A5 Wagyu beef and their black Angus steak was cooked to perfection, precisely to the requested temperature. Our server, Wan, was articulate and provided detailed explanations of the available western food Melaka options. However, they could improve their timing for serving the dishes, as it took quite a while for a pasta and steak dish to be served.

18. Owl City Cafe

Owl City Cafe is a great place for friends and family gatherings, conveniently located upstairs of a shop lot opposite Multimedia University. The pricing is reasonable, making it an affordable choice.

I highly recommend trying their charcoal bun burger set, which is quite huge and filling. Alternatively, you can also order their typical Western food. The portion sizes here are generous, so if you don’t eat much, you can easily share a set with another person.

I personally ordered the burger set, and it came with a generous serving of fries. The cafe itself is clean and tidy, offering plenty of seating options such as high and medium tables, window seating, private rooms, and my personal favorite, the sofa coffee table area, perfect for hanging out with friends.

The service at Owl City Cafe is excellent, with polite and friendly staff. The food is served quickly, allowing you to enjoy your meal without any long waits. Speaking of western food Melaka, their spaghetti carbonara is cooked to perfection, with creamy sauce and golden ham.

They have a wide variety of dishes to choose from, but I particularly enjoy their salted egg chicken chop rice. It comes with a drink and is included in their “lunch set”. However, I want to mention that the signboard displaying the price of the lunch set can be a bit misleading. While it states that the lunch set with a meal and a drink costs RM9.99, this price only applies to two out of the six options. Other options, like my salted egg chicken chop rice, cost more (RM13 in my case).

The environment of the cafe is decent, although it may feel a bit narrow as it is located upstairs in another shop. However, parking is easy to find, making it convenient for visitors. Do keep in mind that the upstairs location may not be suitable for individuals with difficulty going up stairs.

Overall, Owl City Cafe is a good choice, especially for university students in the area due to its reasonable pricing and generous portion sizes.
